Change Up How You Use Your Air Fryer!
The most common use of air fryers is to bake up fried foods, but what if I told you that you could use your air fryer for more than just fried foods?
No Need For Water
You might be asking if it's possible to make hard-boiled eggs without water. The answer is a strong YES! This recipe doesn't call for any water! You won't have to waste more time watching over a pot of water! Whoop whoop!
What Are Hard Boiled Eggs?
Eggs cooked with intact shells, usually submerged in boiling water, are known as hard-boiled eggs.
Soft, Semi-Soft, Jammy, & Hard-Boiled
There are 4 main types of "hard-boiled" eggs, & they can all be made in the air fryer simply by adjusting the times!
Soft Boiled Egg:
When making soft-boiled eggs, you want to make sure that the whites are just set & that the yolk is nearly liquid. Similar to a sunny-side-up egg yolk!
Semi-Soft Boiled Egg:
Semi-soft boiled eggs should come out pretty similar to the soft boil eggs. The only difference between them should be a slightly firmer yolk.
Jammy Boiled Egg:
The name of this boiled egg is exactly how you will ensure it is properly cooked! When you cut the egg, the whites should be set & the yolk should have a jammy texture.
Hard-Boiled Egg:
A hard-boiled egg has both set whites & a set yolk!
How To Make Air Fryer Hard Boiled Eggs - Complete How-To Guide:
- Preheat your air fryer to 270º F.
- Place your eggs in the air fryer after it has preheated.
- Turn the air fryer back on to 270º F & cook for 19 minutes.
Once the eggs are done cooking, place them in an ice bath to stop the cooking.
Crack open your eggs & enjoy!
Hint: After your eggs have cooled off a bit in the ice bath, pull each egg out & crack the shells open, then place them back in the water! This will help with the peeling process later!
Make Sure Your Eggs Are Done!
How to make sure your egg is cooked:
Give your eggs a good spin to see if it is done or not- You can tell if an egg is cooked if it rotates continuously and evenly. It is still a raw egg if it wobbles while spinning.
Equipment
All you need for this easy recipe is an air fryer!
How Many Eggs Does This Recipe Make?
This recipe can make as many eggs as will fit in your air fryer. I typically will make about 12 at a time & store them!
How To Store Hard-Boiled Eggs
Hard-boiled eggs should be kept in the refrigerator in a covered container.
If the eggs have already been peeled, keep them moist by wrapping a damp paper towel around them from top to bottom before putting them in the container.
Cooking Times
Soft Boiled Eggs:
270° F for 14-15 minutes
Semi-Soft Boiled Eggs:
270° F for 15-16 minutes
