Hey there, my grilled cheese-loving friends! Get ready to be blown away by the most epic grilled cheese sandwich you'll ever sink your teeth into. I think we all know that a classic grilled cheese is pure comfort on a plate, but why settle for ordinary when we can make it extraordinary?
The first secret to success lies in choosing the right bread. Think hearty sourdough or a crusty artisan loaf—something that can hold its own against the cheesy goodness. Oh, and the cheese combo? Go wild with provolone & aged white cheddar, creating a symphony of flavors that will make your taste buds dance. It's creamy, it's nutty, it's tangy—it's everything you want in a grilled cheese.
Hold on tight, because we're not stopping there. We're throwing in crispy bacon, my friend. The crispy, smoky goodness takes this sandwich to a whole new level of deliciousness. But wait, there's more! We're also adding a spread of tangy raspberry preserves for a touch of sweetness and some sliced jalapeños for a spicy kick. Trust me, this flavor combo will blow your mind.
Grab your mayo-covered slice of bread & lay down a generous layer of aged white cheddar cheese. Pile on that crispy bacon like there's no tomorrow and spread on the tangy raspberry preserves to balance out the flavors. For that extra kick of heat, sprinkle on some sliced jalapeños. Finally, top it all off with a generous amount of provolone cheese. This dream team of ingredients will create a symphony of flavors in your mouth.
Start by cooking the bacon in the microwave.
Spread a thin layer of mayo on both sides of the toast, then place the toast on the heated griddle or pan. Make sure both sides of the bread are toasted.
While the bread is toasting, slice the jalapeños.
Once both sides of the bread are toasted, spread the raspberry jam on one slice of toast.
On the other slice of toast place 3 slices of aged white cheddar cheese followed by the bacon. Take a bowl or clean pan & cover the bread with cheese to make it melt faster.
Next, layer on 2 slices of provolone cheese & then the jalapeños. Repeat the covering method if needed.
Top the sandwich off with the other slice of toast, raspberry jam side down. Serve immediately & enjoy!
